1. Prevent overheating by dressing in layers and remove them
as you warm up
2. If it is icy use shoe stabilizers for traction
3. Remember to drink water before, during & after your
run
4. Increase your warm up time
5. Omit speed workouts in very cold temperatures to avoid injuries
6. Wear reflective gear to be easily seen in dusk & dawn
7. Wear thick socks to protect your feet from cold
8. Waterproof your shoes
9. Don’t run on ice
